Microbrasserie Noire et Blanche

Located in a bicentennial building at the heart of a part of the city that’s full of culture and history, this microbrewery offers artisanal products and some fifteen made-in-Québec beers. “I love the Monastère d’Oka burger, their tartars, and their Sainte-Moustache beer.”

Les Fromages du Verger

A multi-faceted stop that features an artisanal cheesemaker, an organic orchard and small farm with goats and pigs. “It’s a must-visit stop in the region!”

La Maison Lavande

Purple lavender fields greet all five senses from June to October, a perfect place for a country picnic. The boutique is open year-round, located in heritage houses on the property. “It’s a gorgeous place to visit as a family, or even for a romantic outing as a couple.”

La Cabane à sucre Lalande

The country’s oldest sugar shack. Opened in 1913, there’s a mini-farm, musical entertainment, old-time games, and of course a deliciously hearty traditional sugar shack menu! “My family used to run it; Adélard, my great-grandfather made up the ‘10 commandments of the sugar shack’!”

A honey farm with 8,000 hives, a maple farm with 14,000 trees, and an orchard with 600 apple trees. “They have a lot of great local products and activities to thrill the biggest and littlest family members.”

Verger Lamarche

You-pick apples, a ciderery, doughnut making, mini-farm, bistro, and more! “Don’t forget their new offering: pizza cooked in a wood-burning oven! Delicious!”

175, montée du Village, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

An fully functioning ostrich farm with an educational centre, guided visits, and menu that features ostrich products, from May to October. “Nicolas Charbonneau and Annie Bugueiro are exceptional hosts that will introduce you the wild and wonderful world of this exotic animal.”
